Georgia’s only sea turtle hospital, the Georgia Sea Turtle Center (GSTC) is located in the Historic District of Jekyll Island, GA. Once over the Jekyll River Bridge, turn left onto Riverview Drive (you should see painted turtles in the road, follow them). Turn right at the three-way stop onto Stable Road, drive past the Mosaic Museum, and finally turn left into the main GSTC parking lot (don't turn too early, look for signs, and wait until you see the green sign on the right pointing you to the main lot and follow the turtles in the road). You should see painted turtles in the parking lot and your guides waiting in the parking lot.
Visit the official Georgia Sea Turtle Center website to learn more about the programs, research, and other important work being done to save turtles and other coastal wildlife.
